$35 tryout fee for any player planning to attend Select team tryouts. (The tryout fee is non-refundable).
$100 will be collected from each Select Team player that is registered. Select fees are due two weeks after a player has accepted a position on a Select team. (Note that once a player has accepted a position on a select team all registration fees, including the $100 select team fee are non-refundable). As of the 2013/14 season, 16-U18 players who selects Metro is charged the $35 tryout fee. but if the player chooses Gold/Silver, no tryout fee is charged (there are no tryouts). Also, players in this age group do not pay a higher registration fee for Gold/Silver, however, if they make a Gold/Silver team, they will pay a higher Select fee of $125 instead of $100.
A cheque for $50 per player will also be collected by the team managers at the start of the new season in September as a deposit for the soccer kit provided by the club. The cheques will be held and returned at the end of the season when the full kit is returned to the Manager.
*U6/U7* teams are sponsored by Tim Hortons. Tim Hortons has provided us a supply of jerseys and shorts for the girls which we handout at the start of the season and collect back at the end of the season. We *do not* receive new stock each year.
*U8* *- U10* teams went to a new model the 2012/2013 season by where the player purchases a uniform kit (blue jersey, white jersey and shorts - socks are provided by the league). If the uniform fits the player the following year they are not required to purchase a new one.
*U11* - will be required to purchase a new kit as their jersey will be numbered for when the players are assessed throughout the year for U12 tryouts.
The North Shore Girls Club accepts registrations from new and
returning players throughout the year. However, our regular
registration period begins in mid-February and ends May 31st. After
that point late registering players will be charged a late fee.
(a) Players who register late will be put on the waiting list for
eventual placement on a team.
Note: A late re-registering player is not guaranteed a spot on her
previous team!
(b) Players who register after after May 31st, 2010 will charged
a $15 late registration fee.
(c) pro-rated [to the nearest
quarter] registration fees will be given for children joining teams
mid-season.
Players are placed on teams in the following manner. First all re-registered players are placed back on their previous team, unless a Transfer Request has been made in writing. Then, displaced players (this includes players from disbanded teams and players who were on a select team and were not successful in the most recent try-out) are placed, followed by transfer requests and finally, new players and those who did not register on time.
What payment methods does the North Shore Girls
Soccer Club accept?
All
of our registrations are processed online, which means the primary
payment method is credit card. Payments made by credit card are preferred by the NSGSC as it helps reduce the administration and volunteer time required to process payments. However, we do accept money order/bank
draft for
those who would rather pay via an alternate method. Money order/bank
draft payments are due 10 days after completion of the online registration form (All registrations must be completed online before money order/bank
draft payments can be received). Money order/bank
draft payments not received by the registration deadline will result in the player being removed from their team's roster, and possibly losing their position on a particular team.
