Why NSGSC has no goalies!

  At the end of the game  the coach and parents should say“ the team won or the team lost”. But what happens is they say “we won because Jenny scored the goal" or “we lost because Jenny was in goal”. The kids hear this and what happens is no-one wants to play in goal. There are a lot of very good goalies out there they just need help with training and support from the team, coaches and parents. It is the most important position on the field.

Why NSGSC has no attackers!

 We need to teach our soccer players to be better attackers.

1) When in the 18 yard box the attacker needs to place the ball with the side of the foot and aim for one of the goal corners away from the goalie.

2) When outside the 18 yard box they need a power shot which should be aimed for one of the goal corners away from the goalie.

3) Attackers need to train with their back to the goal and must come to the ball when the ball is played to them.

4) We need to stop players from toe kicking the ball.
